Korsnes Museum
Trading place, telegraph and steamship call … onvce upon a time …
Korsnes is an old communication center. Here was a trading post, telegraph and steamship call. The old post office is incredibly intact. Knut Hamsun was in service here for a period, and it is said that he saved one of the merchant’s daughters from drowning. The photographer Magdalene Normann was from Korsnes, and the museum has many pictures made of her. The building environment is from the 17th-1900s. The museum is very beautifully located on Korsnes, approx. 6 km from the ferry berth at Bognes.
The museum facility at Korsnes is a beautiful place to stroll around,
and worth a visit for that reason. It is planned to hold in the summer of 2021
the museum is open on weekends in July.
